Sadie's Flower Girl Competition

Congrats to Sadie's Godfather Dan and his newly engaged finace Michelle!!! Dan asked Michelle to marry him last week while they cruised to the Carribean. She said yes to a gorgeous ring. Their surprise engagement party (well Dan knew about the party) was Saturday night at Dan's parents' house. There was a champagne toast and yummy food and a beautiful cake. I should have taken a picture of the cake. We got them a couples massage for an engagement present. I thought that was a great gift I just hope they like massages, if not Michelle can get a lot of pedicures. I had to slip some bridal magazines in the gift bag. I miss buying bridal magazines. I used to buy like every new issue and bring them to work, Even my co-workers got into planning my wedding.
And Sadie met her competition. As far as we know (there was only one other small female person at the engagement party, there might be others that were unable to attend). Her name is Katelyn and she is Michelle's cousin. She is adorable well mannered, follows directions, photographs well and is so polite. She is a contender. She is 6 years old. She loved Sadie and never left my side during the party (well Sadie's side). Katylyn really wants a younger brother or sister. She loves babies. I thought she was really cute!
So we have to get down to buiness teaching her the responsibilites of being a flower girl. Jerm's stepdad Mark has all ready started to teach her the chicken dance. And she will definitely be walking by then. They haven't set a date but I am confident with the right training she will be the best flower girl in the history of flower girls, possibly even surpassing her mother The Allbery Wedding 1987 (my aunt Melanie's wedding). It would be super cute if Sadie was the junior flower girl and Katelyn was the elder more experienced flower girl helping her down the aisle. Hahahahahaha. A mother's dream.
