Veteran's Day
They celebrated the opening of the Veteran's park in Green this morning at 11:11am. We picked up Jeremy's little brother Nate and took him with us. If you had a family member that was a veteran you could be signed out of school at 10:30 am and you didn't have to go back to school for the rest of the day. So after the ceremony we took Nate out to lunch. The ceremony was really neat. They had fly overs and the Green school choirs sang (5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade). They had an eternal flame that was passed from one vetern to the next vetern (I only got their backs when it got to Justin and Jeremy) and then finally lit the main flame. And there were a lot of great speakers! Emily the sister of Matt one of Jermey's friends from high school who was killed over in Iraq spoke and she did a wonderful job. Plus the weather was beautiful. It was a really special event.
