This morning was Chase's first group class. We wanted to take Baily too but we can't leave Gracie alone without both Chase and Baily, she would freak out. She has a lot of anxiety when we have done that in the past and she really has a melt down. Apparently Ito is too small to comfort her. So it was just Chase. He did so good! And it was really hot outside. He prob did so good because he was so tired from the heat. It is an hour class and of course I didn't think to bring water, so we couldn't stay for the play time with the other dogs afterwards. Chase didn't really play with any of the other dogs during the break anyway. The trainer said it is because Chase has his own pack at home and doesn't feel he needs friends yet. Hopefully with several more sessions to build Chase's confidence around other dogs he will want to play with them. Right at the end of the session a 109lb 7 month old Mastiff puppy jumped on Chase's back to play, (the top picture the picture doesn't do him justice he is huge!). Chase handled it better than I thought he would. He just growled. And looked mad. Wow does my face look swollen in that picture!!!
